Ash Prepares For 100th BTCC Start
Coming up next on the 2019 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship calendar is Croft Circuit, where we will see Ashley Sutton make his 100th start.  Britain’s biggest Tin Top series will make its appearance at the North Yorkshire circuit on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th June.

From the 99 races contested so far, Ash has amassed a tally of 13 victories the first of which was in the MG6 GT back in 2016, which he has backed up with 6 apiece in the following two seasons behind the wheel of his Adrian Flux backed Subaru Levorg.

His staggering results over the past three seasons have led to a further 16 podiums and the all-important drivers title during only his second season in the BTCC back in 2017.

It’s very fitting that his 100th race start should come at Croft with it being the home of his maiden podium in 2016 during race 1 where he secured third place behind the wheel of the MG6 GT, before backing it up with a break through victory during a very wet reverse grid race 3.

Since those boxes were ticked the BRDC Rising Star has grabbed a further 4 wins at the North Yorkshire venue and a further podium in the Subaru Levorg taking his podium tally to a staggering 7 in total from just 9 races around the 2.13 mile circuit.

Ash currently has a grand total of 29 podiums to his name, which he has attained during the previous 99 races and he will be looking to hit another milestone by clinching his 30th.
