Silverline Subaru BMR Racing and our driving quartet of Jason Plato, Colin Turkington, Warren Scott and James Cole, have our sights set on a return to the podium next weekend (30-31 July), as the 2016 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) returns at Snetterton after the annual six-week summer break.
During the lengthy sabbatical we made further developmental progress as the team headed to Norfolk for the two day Dunlop tyre test at Snetterton earlier this month.
The first half of the season has been a challenge for us all at Silverline Subaru BMR Racing and we all can’t wait to get back out on track to continue our strive for success. We are looking to add to the nine podiums already secured this season between Colin and Jason with particularly strong performances from the previous two rounds at Oulton Park and Croft.
Colin currently holds both the qualifying and race lap records around the Snetterton 300 circuit and the team enjoyed tremendous success in 2015 with a podium lock out in race 1. The team visited the podium in all three races in addition to being awarded the Team Trophy.
We are all confident there are further gains to come from the all new Subaru Levorg GT at the next five rounds and we are looking forward to continuing our development with Subaru UK, Silverline Tools, Adrian Flux and our technical partners who are very much enjoying the journey with us.
Team Manager Alan Cole commented “Snetterton is going to be a tricky weekend for us with the new car but we are certainly looking forward to the challenge”.
