Silverline Subaru BMR Racing are proud to be supporting an amazing group of fans and colleagues that are braving the shave for Macmillan cancer support standing proudly alongside men, women and children with cancer.
We know that cancer can turn the world upside down and that’s especially true when it comes to appearance. People with cancer go through hair loss and changes to their appearance that can affect everything from the way they look to how they feel.
The group will be joining the team in our garages at 10.55am during the Church Break at Silverstone on Sunday 18th September during rounds 25, 26 & 27 of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship. Our drivers Jason Plato, Colin Turkington, James Cole and Warren Scott will have clippers in hand to start off the proceedings.
In addition our Chief Designer and Engineer to Jason Plato, Carl Faux has also agreed to brave the shave and with the nickname of ‘Boy Band’ that the team have given him, believe us when we say he has an almighty head of hair to lose and needs your support. Carl has also impressively roped in the Editor of Motorsport News Matt James to get involved, those of you who know Matt will agree that this will be something to witness!
With Macmillan being Dunlop’s chosen charity we hope to raise some much needed funds to support people who are facing a difficult time.
By braving the shave, we’re making sure that Macmillan can be there for people with cancer and their families.
Here are some of the ways the money you raise could make a massive difference:
Funding Macmillan nurses - One way your support could help people affected by cancer is through funding the amazing Macmillan nurses.
Building and improving information and support centres - Your donations could help to maintain and build new Macmillan information and support centres.
Providing financial support and advice - The money you raise could be spent on employing Macmillan benefits advisers and giving one-off grants to people in financial need.
We would love for our fans to come and support Carl, Matt and our fans Lee Fraser, Levy Santos, Courtney Salmon and Phil Holgate on Sunday at garages 4 A-C at 10.55am and help us to raise as much money as possible for this amazing cause by donating at one of the following links:
