The Final Battle
Silverline Subaru BMR Racing’s Colin Turkington, Jason Plato, James Cole and Warren Scott are intent on finishing their 2016 seasons on a high as the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship heads to the iconic Brands Hatch GP Circuit, for the final three rounds this weekend (1-2 October).

Returning to the circuit where the Subaru Levorg’s made their debuts in the BTCC
back in April on the Indy Circuit for the season opener, both Colin and Jason have the opportunity to take the overall championship title but it will require the two former double champions to close the points gap to series leader Sam Tordoff with an 11 point advantage over his nearest rival, Gordon Sheddon.  With 67 points up for grabs the Silverline Subaru BMR Racing duo are two of the eight drivers with a mathematical shot of being crowned Champion with Colin trailing Tordoff by just 37 points and Jason with a gap of 58 points.

James and Warren will go into the meeting with added confidence after last time out at Silverstone where Warren qualified in the top half of the field and was the highest placed Subaru driver on the timing screens as James secured the overall fastest lap in race 2.  Both drivers have shown that they have the pace on several occasions this year but luck hasn’t always been on their side hampering their point hauls for 2016.  James and Warren will be giving it there all this weekend to ensure that they finish on a high to round out the season.

It’s certainly been a journey for us as a team in 2016, we have endured some tough times in the championship but we have given it our all and with the support of our sponsors and fans we are proud to have fought a great battle and will continue to do so until the very end of race three on Sunday afternoon.

Qualifying will be shown live on the ITV website ( at 15:40 this Saturday with race day coverage beginning at 10.15 on Sunday and being shown live on ITV4, and also in HD.
