THE FINAL PIECE OF THE PUZZLE
BMR Racing are delighted to announce that following our news earlier this month of Josh Price returning to the Renault UK Clio Cup Championship, we can now confirm that he will drive the fourth Subaru Levorg with the BMR Racing Academy in the 2017 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship.
After an outstanding season in the Clio Cup last year, Josh has been supported by the BMR Academy which is the stepping stone system created by BMR to assist drivers in the transition from Clio’s to the BTCC. The team have been working on a plan over the winter months to graduate Josh to the BTCC but were unable to finalise the arrangement. Since releasing the news of Josh returning to the Clio Cup a sponsor has come forward which has allowed Josh to take the leap and make the final piece of the puzzle fit.
An excited Josh Price commented - “I’m extremely overwhelmed by the support of BMR and Subaru to get me on the BTCC grid this season at such short notice. I’m looking forward to the challenge that’s ahead, as well as working with a team with such a great pedigree.”
Speaking of Josh’s graduation BMR Racing owner Warren Scott commented – “I am thrilled to welcome Josh into the BMR Racing Academy BTCC team and very much look forward to watching him progress within the championship throughout what promises to be an unforgettable year.”
We look forward to sharing more news of how the deal came together for Josh and his sponsors next week as well as sharing his car livery with you.
