CARL FAUX FINISHES ON A HIGH

Team BMR can today confirm that Technical Director Carl Faux is off to pastures new as he ends his BTCC career on a high and makes the switch with an entirely new challenge in Australian Supercars.

Carl has had three successful seasons with Team BMR in the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship and in 2015, his maiden year with the team, he played a huge part in putting BMR on the map with his massive contribution in assisting us in claiming our first ever Teams Championship title.

2016 brought an exciting new chapter to BMR with Subaru arriving in the championship as a new manufacturer outfit.  Carl’s lead design skills on the newly built Subaru Levorg spearheaded the development of the car which was publicly witnessed throughout the season as the projects time frame didn’t allow for any pre-season testing.  By the second half of the season, the Levorg had started to show its real potential and finally shine as something very special indeed, a realisation by many others that dubbed the Levorg The Frankenstein of the championship.

2017 speaks for itself as Ash Sutton and BMR clinched the overall BTCC drivers title and runners-up for Subaru in the Manufacturer Championship, Carl’s drive and commitment to the Subaru Levorg project played a massive part in our achievements.

Speaking of Carl’s time at Team BMR, Team Principal Warren Scott commented “Carl has been a pleasure to work with over the past three seasons and has brought a tremendous amount of knowledge to the team which has aided BMR in its growth and development as a front-running BTCC team.

“I wish Carl good luck for the future and would like to thank him for all his efforts and great achievements that he has brought to BMR.”

Speaking of his time with us here at BMR Carl states “My BTCC journey is at an end.  My time in the championship has run its course and I am going half a world away to try my hand in Australian Supercars, a new challenge in a new country will be nothing less than an experience.  As they say, a change is as good as a rest.

“I know that with the team that BMR have they will continue to grow and improve, the seeds were planted a long time ago, they have been watered and nurtured and now it is time for the next generation to bloom.  I will be keeping a close eye on the successes they have ahead of them, I know there will be many, and I wish BMR every success going forward.”

All of us at BMR Racing would like to thank Carl for his tremendous input to the team and we wish him continued success in his future career.
